About
Brian
Kasprzyk I am best defined
by my family so let me tell you about them.
I have been happily
married to my college sweetheart Malle (pronounced Maaleee) for 39 years. We
met in a bar in Fredonia, New York in 1968 and it was love at first sight – at
least for me. It took her a little longer.
I was a sociology
major at Gannon College in Erie, Pennsylvania. She was an English major with
aspirations to be a teacher. However, at the time there were few available
teaching jobs. She eventually got a Masters Degree in Business and for the past
many years has been a manager in the health care field. She is currently the
Director of Health Care Benefits for Local 4, the Union of Operating Engineers.
She edits all of my mailings. Her latest craze is golf. She is a voracious
reader.
We have 3 children.
Sarah is closing in on 30. She is a graduate of the University of New
Hampshire. For one year, she worked with me as a realtor. She currently lives in
southern California working for a medical supply company. I’m always hoping that
she comes home to this area. She lights up a room.
Liza is our baby in
search of identity but also looking for a teaching job in New York City. She
is 24 going on 44 and was a film major at the School of Visual Arts in
Manhattan. Three years ago, she transferred to New York University (NYU)
majoring in philosophy. She just received her Masters Degree in Education. We
love to visit her in NYC but do so less often than we should.
Matthew is the
middle child. He lives locally in Lowell. Bought his first home last year taking
advantage of the $8,000 federal tax credit. He was working with me as a Real
Estate Agent but left in pursuit of more and steadier income. He is now employed
at Great West Investments. He just received his brokers license. I have a
feeling he will return to real estate. He was good at it.
They are each very
special and unique and I love them very much.
My passions are
golf (13 handicap) and downhill skiing. I went down my first black diamond 10
years ago. One of my life goals is to own a ski chalet in Colorado or maybe New
Hampshire. I have worked in real estate for 30 years and can't imagine doing
anything else. The freedom of self-employment is great and sometimes
stressful. The joy of helping clients reach their dreams can be quite a "high."
My first profession, however, was not real estate - it was social work. I
received my graduate degree in social work from Boston University in 1973. I
grew up in Peabody, Massachusetts. I am 60 years old and getting younger in
spirit every day, but not in body. My life philosophy is simple – “Attitude Is
Life". Each day when I wake, I have a choice - to smile or not to smile, to
laugh or not to laugh, to be kind or selfish, to make it a good day or not. I
try to always choose the former. I hope you do too.
